Release StarCraft 2 – When Did It Come Out?

From the makers of World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2 has arrived. This is a highly anticipated game by Blizzard Entertainment. The first StarCraft came out on March 31 of 1998. As of February of 2009, more than eleven million copies sold throughout the world. It has been classified as one of the best selling games for the PC. On March of 2009, a version was released for the Mac OS. Then, on June 13, 2000, a Nintendo 64 adaptation was released.

Through a series of different novels, the storyline has expanded. Currently, StarCraft comes in three expansion packs. So, when are they going to release StarCraft 2 and what are they going to bring to the sequel?

Unless you lived under a rock, you should already know that StarCraft 2 was released on July 27, 2010. The game is connected to Battle.net at all times, where your profile and achievements will be saved. Unlike the original, StarCraft 2 has superb 3D graphics. Who would have ever thought StarCraft 2 would come out in 3D? This is definitely a game that was worth the waiting.

Wings of Liberty will be putting a lot of focus specifically on the Terrans. The other two expansions, which includes “Heart of the Swarm” along with “Legacy of the Void” will be focused on the Protoss and respectively the Zerg.

StarCraft II takes place four years after the events that took place in the original. Don’t worry, you will not have to wave goodbye to the old characters. They have kept the old characters from the first StarCraft, however, they have also introduced some new characters, as well as locations.

The cut scenes you will be seeing have improved in quality. Some of the improvements include space terrain that is more detailed and scenery allocation that is more advanced. For example, when you look at the space platforms, in the background, you are going to see asteroids and planets. They have also improved the advertising signs, extensions and small cliffs for this release.

Units in StarCraft II have new abilities when compared to the original. These new abilities are encouraging interaction with the environment. You will be able to teleport for example, but it will only be short distances, which is still great. By using the Warp Gate, you can warp some of the Protoss units to the pylon powered areas. StarCraft II will bring specific units which will only be playable when you go for the Campaign.

Many gamers have been waiting years for this game. Since StarCraft 2 has been released, do you believe this is going to cause the newer generation of gamers (the ones that do not know much about StarCraft) to get into it? We think so.

One thing is for sure and that is the fact that many players have stepped out of the closet and dusted off their gaming hands, because of the release StarCraft 2 which is, according to Blizzard, the “fastest-selling strategy game of all time.” Over the course of the first two days, more than 1.5 million copies of StarCraft 2 release were sold. “This one time, at boot camp…”

Finally, it’s here and we have already played it – you should give it a try too. Even if you have never played the StarCraft, you may like this one. “Who wants some?!”
