> $100 Million Invested in the Development of StarCraft II

We already knew that Blizzard took several years to develop StarCraft II, but did you even have a remote clue about how much the sequel actually cost to make? According to Wall Street Journal the game’s budget was over 100,000,000 dollars. That’s about how much GTA IV also cost to develop. Can you even imagine that?

The report doesn’t cite a source but even if that figure is true, StarCraft II is expected to turn a profit for Blizzard and its shareholder, Activision Blizzard. Analysts expect sales of the game to total several million this year worldwide and at $60 per copy that means the game will have to sell “just” 1.7 million copies to go over the $100 million mark.

Your Life for the Hive? Play Draco, Free Browser MMORPG!

While you wait for the first installment of StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, why don’t you play Draco, a browser-based MMORPG by Evolution Vault? To play it all you need is your browser; no downloads are necessary. And the game is completely FREE! Start your journey to the stars in an epic quest of galactic conquest with the Zerg… pardon, the Avatar. I just can’t hope it… they look like the Zerg.

browser mmorpg

The story of the game is that the Avatar has awakened and the Prime Evils ascended into space (how original!), searching for fresh blood. Highly efficient killers with the sole purpose of consuming all living, “the Avatars are a symbiotic species which assimilated millions of hosts throughout the galaxy, in order to thrive and be able to modify their surroundings.

These aliens have some cool structures which, apparently, stayed buried deep underground for centuries, waiting to be triggered by the evolution of intelligent life. The game play itself is fairly straightforward if you’ve ever played any of the more traditional browser games, such as Travian. Regardless, I enjoyed the game very much and I highly recommend it. It’s a fun browser MMORPG to play in your spare time, when you want to relax a few minutes.
